Monday Photo - Niagra-a-gogo

Niagra Falls. Big. Loud. Wet.So took a day trip there during my recent visit to Toronto with Moira and Simey. It was great fun - we went on the Maid Of The Mist, the ferry that goes right into the falls (the little boat in the pic) - we got totally saturated. Sweet. It was somewhere I never thought I'd get to in my life, so I'm really glad I got to see it first hand. :)

Quit yer naggin'!!
I'm still working at Grandma Emily's - for some reasons I now seem to be like management, even though I'm still getting a paltry $10.50 an hour. We're trialling new cooks and I'm on the HACCP committee - we're totally overhauling the company and I'm in charge of writing and implementing a Recall and Tracing system. It's a huge amount of work, and I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what I'm doing, but at least it's different and challenging, which is a sweet change. They're paying me to take St John's First Aid training next month, too, which is something I've always wanted to do anyway. Things aren't so bad there.
I'm swing dancing heaps thanks to the performance team. We've really been stepping up the rehearsals and we've got two major performances this weekend - one at Cat's Corner and one at Swing l'Ete. We definitely ain't no Rhythm Hot Shots (to say the least), but we're improving and we have a lot of fun, so who cares? :D I'll post some photos or our performances when I get 'em.
Ian's doing okay - he's back at school and hating it, but he auditioned 2nd in the school by one point so he's playing in the symphony orchestra and kicking ass. We went to the casino last night - Ian won like $100 at the craps table and I lost $5 on the pokies :D. Although the last couple of times we've been I've won around $40 playing poker (it's a simple little game called Let It Ride - it ain't Hold 'Em, but it's still fun :)). The Montreal casino is right in the middle of this gorgeous park called Parc Jean Drapeau, and we're planning a picnic there this weekend - gotta catch the last of summer before the sub-zeroes come back.
So today I'm bored out of my ass - I've been home all day recovering from a crappy work week. Ian's out with his friend seeing a movie (actually, I think it's The 40 Year Old Virgin *shudder*) and I'm stuck at home with nothing on TV but The OC and a documentary about Area 51. I've practiced, I've sent off my CV to some chick to try to get some horn teaching, and now all I've got left to do is mess with my blog and contemplate my navel (which is looking decidedly pudgy these days, I must say). Anyway... BOOOOORRRRRREDDDDD!!!!!
